An individual design project undertaken to tackle the design
prompt of creating a smart gardening system:
Design a smart gardening system that helps users manage their
garden by providing real-time monitoring of soil moisture,
temperature, and plant health.
Extensive research
was undertaken to deeply understand users' requirements,
pinpointing their pain points and areas ripe for improvement. This
involved employing design methodologies such as
crafting user personas, developing low and high-fidelity
wireframes, mapping out user flows. These approaches were instrumental in fostering a user-centric
mindset throughout the design process.
Possible solutions:
A team design project undertaken for the module CS3240 Interaction
Design which aims to simplify the process of planning and
preparing meals, making it accessible, enjoyable, and sustainable
for individuals from all walks of life.
This project
involved iterative cycles of research, analysis, and refinement
spanning the entire module duration.
Various design methodologies
were employed, including Contextual Inquiry, Data Analysis via
Affinity Diagrams, Scenario Development, Storyboarding, Figma
Prototyping, Usability Testing using Heuristic Evaluation. These
methods were instrumental in guiding the team towards creating
effective and user-centered design solutions.
